Don't be ashamed of your past .For you being children of God justifies your actions on the earth for the bible says that the meek shall inherit the earth THE MEEK ARE THOSE WHO HUMBLE THEMSELVES TO GOD . so As Gods children the earth belongs to you for you are joint heirs with Christ .And don't let anyone tell you different for the earth belongs to Gods elect children
Each of us experience a Christian journey (or deny it) and so I believe societies also experience journeys. To ignore our past is to ignore our growth and what we have learned. I appreciate history.

that sounds like what Islam teaches too but since our God is God then for us its JUST THE FACTS
