Scripture for the Day Jan 2nd 2021: 2 Cor 5:17
As we start a new year. God tells us there can be hope for the future.
First, there is the hope of a changed person. We are incapable of ridding ourselves of the selfishness and greed that cause conflict, strife, and war. Our only hope is a changed heart, and Jesus is in the business of changing hearts.
Second, there is the hope of a changed world. When we know Jesus, He gives us by His Spirit a new love and concern for others. Changed by Christ Jesus, we can begin to change our world.
Third, there is the hope and confidence of an unchanging eternity in heaven. This world is not all there is.
Even as I still battle with sickness, and frankly. I am getting more than annoyed with this satanic nonsense; the enemy wants to remove my hope from my life. Waking up every hour bathed in sweat with aching body parts is not my idea of hope. But that's where the enemy wants us: in despair, giving up without hope. The same applies to the stolen elections: the satanic forces ridiculing President Trump. his allies and his supporters, to remove all hope.
But we stand in Jesus Christ against the forces of evil. We shall not be deterred. Just as my sickness shall pass, just as I shall regain my strength, hope has never left me, because I read the last book of the Bible. Listen not to the enemy news, brothers and sisters. Listen to God and never seize praying.
Be strong, brothers and sisters. Victory is near. God shall honor your faith.
